This is the first camera in the FX series. Image quality is very good: In my opinion, the FX7’s images have a slightly less processed look than the subsequent models. Battery life is a problem with fewer than 100 photos per charge. The batteries are small, so you can carry spares, but it does mean charging multiple batteries every day when you’re shooting a lot. Build quality is very good: I bought the FX7 in January 2005, and there are no signs of wear.
