A week in the Engadina Alps, Switzerland April 2013.
The Engadin, Engadina or Engiadina in Romansch is a valley approximately 80 Km long and is divided in Upper and Lower Engadin by the Inn River. It is located in Eastern Switzerland enclaved by Austria and Northern Italy.
Famous places include St. Moritz, Silvaplana and Sils. It is one of the most elevated of populated valleys in Europe. It is accessed by either the Maloja or Bernina passes when open for traffic or by the Pontresina-Scuol-Tarasp railway line which travels at high speed through the Alps - a 20 Km long tunnel.

:: Barcelona, Spain May 2013 ::
Two weeks in Barcelona is a very short time. The hardest thing to achieve is to keep tourists out of the photograph. Places of interest include Montjuic, Parc Guell, the Gaudi architecture, the Ciutadella Park and the Zoo, the Bari Gotic and the Palau de la Musica. Of course the Sagrada Familia and the Montserrat Abbey - an hour away by train.

Birds and other animals that drop in unexpectedly. The fox was the least expected and showed one morning just before sunup which explains the quality of the shot. the racoon was shot at 12x with a FinePix P&S and cropped quite a bit which shows in the grainyness. I chose not to reduce the noise and conserve the authenticity and the mood. As for the angora, for some reason she decided to perch were squirrels usually do and stare into our kitchen window. The gold finches, house finches, chickadees and hairy and downy woodpeckers all decided to stick around even at -16C. The food must be good ! Stay tuned for the Junkos, Waxwing and Jays that invariably show up. Just hope to be around the kitchen with a camera at hand....
