Hi David, I met you in Bangkok when you bought your 85mm lens from me. I had no idea at that time that you had such a superb set of galleries here on PBase. I'm quite happy now to be finding it quite by accident when I saw a comment by you on one of Ai Li's photos. I'm making my way through your excellent work but already see that you are going to make such fine use of the lens I passed onto you. Keep it up. Many wonderful photos here. Chris :)

You know I've been a long time fan of your work David ... However, I should actually point out that I've actually only seen maybe 20% of your work. So today I sat down for a good half hour and went through a whole bunch of images I'd not seen before. It's work I've known has been there but it's a bit like how I feel about the Godfather. You see, I've never seen that film - I missed it somehow in my teens. Now however, I've heard so many things about it that I'm putting off watching it as I know that I'll only be able to watch it for the first time, once. And that's also how I feel a bit about your work - I know there's fantastic stuff hidden away in all your galleries but I'm savouring it - allowing myself to explore only a bit at a time. Cause like that movie, I know I'll only get to see it for the first time, once. So anyway, the point of all this is that I wanted to tip my hat to one of the most creative and diverse photographers on here. Fantastic work and I hope it just keeps on coming.

David, you are an inspiration! Without a doubt, you're in my top 3 favs on PBase! Your self-portraits are the best I've seen, bar none; original, thought-provoking, insightful...and fun! Your love for photography is apparent in your work, and I only hope that I can produce such unique and inspiring images in the future, with a style that says, "Ah! I just revisted Thailand! I remembered the street scene and yes, I watched a sex show and all the other shows. Your photographs portray what lies under the skin, the real people. What can I say other than I'll follow your work from today.

David: The surfing photo was taken in July 8th, 2005. Yes, there are a few surfers there along with the para-sailors etc. You have some great galleries....some nice special effects. Do you live in BKK? I'll put you on my favorites list and check back often. Aloha, JB
