I've a spider who built a web across my front door. I've looked through all of the websites and have failed to identify her. Can I send you a picture?
Next, what is the best way to move her?

I found a spider on my table on my front porch this morning I've been through all the pictures of spiders you have on the site and it does not quite match any of them how do I send you a picture if you can possibly tell me what the spider was?

Just found a semi-docile, very small snake just inside our rear door. Actually, our little dog brought it to our attention. It was about 13-14" long, very thin, dark brownish in color with prominent white cross bands that increased to a triangle shape near the belly. We live 23 miles SW of Ocala, FL. Would like to send picture if I knew how. Can you give me any ideas as to what kind of snake this could be?

Ques:how to send you photos of nighttime spider building web. It's orangish-red under flashlight
Guest 26-Jan-2015 15:00
Daniel, may I have permission to use your image of the Florida Scarab beetle beside one of my Ocala Scarab
to show differences. I'm sending to Florida Native Plant Society, but do not know if the editor will accept it.
I will give credit. I've cropped your image and lightened it to show the striae by the scutellum. Linda

Saw a snake up in my palm tree. Looked like a yellow rat snake but the underside was black & white checkered
pattern. Is that a garden snake?

hi
Im Sean Norton a pharmacist and amateur herpetologist. I noticed all your snake pictures on your webpage. Im wondering if you'd be willing to be a tour guide so i can find some of these
rare and large snakes. Id be willing to pay if thats an issue.

Im very interested in finding large diamondbacks, indigos and florida/brooks kingsnakes.
What time of day/year is best? or should i just go road cruising?
Im staying in west palm beach til the 14th then another week in the everglades in homestead until flying back to boston.

Thanks a bunch

Sean

Hi, I took a picture of this spider and was wondering what kind is it. What is a good email address I can send it too??
Harry Northup 24-Apr-2011 14:33
I'm a third generation floridian, and have seen almost all of the snakes you show, and they are beautiful. Thanks for a place to view them. My favorite is the Indigo snake, and I have seen one that I'm sure is larger than the accepted record size several years ago in my orange grove. Thanks again for all the info you provide.

Theres a black snake that lives in my hedges somewhere. I am afraid of it. Everyone says it won't hurt me. What should I know about it? What should I do so it won't attack me when I walk by? Do they live in the ground in my hedges? Thanks for the information.
