My camera usage history:
Agfa Paramat (half frame camera) (c. 1972-1979), this was my mother's camera and my first photographic experience
Praktica, probably the MTL3 or L2 model (c. 1979-1983), got it from my brother, loved the split screen focus
Olympus OM-10 (1984-1990), also from my brother, but unfortunately metering failed after a few years
Olympus Trip 35 (1988-1994), bought it secondhand, reliable little camera
Ricoh RZ 105 Zoom (1992-2002), mainly used for family snapshots, but a handy camera still
Fuji FinePix F601z (august 2002 - ...), my first digital made me re-enter photography
Canon EOS 350 D (july 2005 - ...), my first DSLR, a revelation, sold september 2008
Canon Digital Ixus 950 IS (= Powershot SD850) (may 2007 - ...), was always with me, but in januari 2008 the lens got stuck, unrepairable, but Canon kindly replaced it with the 960
Canon EOS 40D (november 2007 - june 2010), sheer pleasure to work with. Sold it because of my switch to full frame and APS-H.
Olympus Mju 790 SW (january 2008 - ...), won this camera in a contest, it is now owned by my son.
Canon G9 (april 2008 - ...), portable yet with full manual control and the possibility to shoot raw. unfortunatly I scratched to front lens, rendering flare and hazy bits when shooting with direct light in the lens.
Canon Digital Ixus 960 IS (= Powershot SD950) (may 2008- ...), got it from Canon as a replacement for the 950.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II (april 2009- ...), made me enter full frame photography and I'm eager to work with real wide angle, shallow DoF and low noise high ISO possibilities. Since I replaced it with the Mark III it is now is use with a young photographer who wanted to get acquainted with the full frame format.
Canon EOS 1D Mark IV (june 2010-...), makes a perfect couple with the 5D, hope to be using it for sports, action and events for many years to come.
Canon Powershot G1 X (june 2012-...), replaces my G9 and, thanks to the large sensor, adds the possibility to shoot with high ISO in venues where DSLR's are not allowed. The large sensor also allows to work with more shallow DoF than most other compacts.
