A study in water, motion and static.

He would not sit for a formal portrait. Serving in WW II, he fought at the battle of the Bulge. I very much admired this gentleman. In his 80s, he still worked his farms. I admire the folks of his generation, and his simple life style.

Mr Stewart died July 2012. So few from that time are left.

In 1978 I asked the 84 year old man, that lived under this tree how the spring got there. He said " it be here when I come a boy of 14". So it has been in the 4' dia. tree for over 100 years!! We made good steel back then.

Could think of no other title. I do think it is one of the neatest shots I have taken.
