Thanks for coming by my galleries. Very nice to see your stuff from the 70's. Sometimes I feel a bit dated here. I have some writings in my galleries also (from my manuscript "Some Time On the Frontier - A Pakistan Journal" about my life in Pakistan from 1988 to 1991. It covers my life involved with a Pathan woman of 'ill repute' (but it is different in Pak., more of a family, generational business) and life among the Pathans in general, and the horse trip I was involved

Hi Philip, I too did the overland to India trip in 1974 from the UK and have been there ever since! Based in Himachal Pradesh I.ve spent the past 30+ years travelling mostly in SE.Asia and lots in india. I enjoyed your Burma galleries as I recently made a return visit to that fascinating oppressed country. I liked the Lao pics as well.

Dear Philip,
I happened upon your blog and felt compelled to compliment you on your writing. It is so good. I'm in Abu Dhabi for two years and have a blog comparing it with home in the U.S. (sandflowers.blogspot.com), and my blog doesn't even come close to the vividness of your descriptions and pictures. If you have time, I would love to know what your training/education/background is as I am always trying to improve my writing.
Sincerely,
Frances Gunnison

Hi. It covers my life involved with a Pathan woman of 'ill repute' (but it is different in Pak., more of a family, generational business) and life among the Pathans in general, and the horse trip I was involved in in 1989. If you have any interest it is here
http://www.pbase.com/noorkhan/horsetrip the writings are with the bottom images of the gallery. I sort of censored the referances to the woman and side trips to Peshawar and Lahore to visit her and family, so it has just become a horsetrip journal, and a story that takes place in Tribal Territory concerning the end of my involvement with the lady;
